I'm looking to re-upholster my 79' Cat 30'. The fabic and cushions are in good shape but I want to trade in the harvest gold colors for something more modern. Anyone recommend a good place in the Annapolis, MD area? Any ideas how much this will cost? Thanks Kelly

Check the archives cuz there have been several discussions about upgrading upholstery. I remember someone saying they had good luck when Catalina did theirs. LaDonna

Try Catalina

One of the people I race has a similar aged C-30 and wanted to replace his covers and cushions. He went to Caalina and picked up ALL his cushions and covers for about $1200.00. Naturally, they fit.

Check Local Upholsterers

Hey Kelly, I recently re-upholstered my '79 C-27. You couldn't be more right when you mention that the style and color of the fabric is dated. Mine was so ugly, it went out, then in, then back out of style. Anyway, after pricing some refits, I took my cushions to a local auto upholstery store here in Austin. Since the foam was in good shape, and the vinyl bottoms were solid, the owner simply stiched on new tops and sides. Total cost for all cushions (minus two v-birth cushions) was 600 bucks. I considered that a bargain. The best part is that they look fantastic! Everyone who sees them compliments me on how nice the interior of the boat looks. Anyway, do your homework and good luck! Rob
