Hi, We just took out our boat last w/e. It was a blast! This boat has the cut out transom and 2017 9.8 Tohatsu electric start/tilt we bought just didn't fit so we used the bracket that was on the port side (beefed up with 2x4's)
My question today is how the design of the double starboard berth looks? Any pic's out there? We had a 22'Cat with swing keel that had more storage and sleeping arrangements with the drop down table/settee. thanks

Catalina 270 255 Wabamun. Welcome to the marina
A quick search on Yachtworld shows 20+ boats listed. This is usually a good resource for fairly sterile pictures.

Can you explain the question? If you have the boat, why are you asking how it looks? Is this a mod of some sort you are looking for?

If you go to www.catalina27.org , which is the owner's association site... you will find many resources such as old brochures, owner's manuals, etc. There were optional interior configurations for the early 27's. The "traditional" interior had and aft galley with a folding table that converted to a double bunk. The "dinette" interior had a mid ships galley to port and a table / bunk to starboard. I posted this 1980 brochure picture for clarity.... but I think it's the same for the earlier models. My dinette is anyway. It has two pilot berths on each side, under the cockpit... the starboard side is very difficult to squeeze into.. I would consider this for storage. There is a tremendous amount of storage behind the companion way ladder where the inboard engine and fuel tank would normally be...

We got the bed worked out! Now on to figuring the easiest way to enclose that giant opening in the transom! Anyone have any suggestions. My hubby thinks there may be a kit of it? thanks
