New Sails
Several people on my dock have had very good success with Cheong Lee Sails in Hong Kong. They emphasized that you need to deal direct with Hong Kong rather than the US affiliate. The web address is www.leesails.com I have seen the work and it is very good quality. The price for a new genoa and a mainsail together are equal to the cost of just a main sail from US manufacturers. The people who have purchased direct from Lee Sails have e-mailed photos of fittings and measurements for an exact replication. They even have the Catalina Logo, etc. on the sail. Make sure your measurements are precise, because any corrections must be shipped back to Hong Kong at your expense. Sounds scarey, but all the people I have spoken to have had nothing butr favorable comments. I'm going to do it myself and get a new main. I am told that two of the existing battens will be full battens and that you will get new sail cars to fit your mast for these battens. Good luck.
