Are you sure the selector switch has been moved ALL the way to the dry position? If not, that's the explanation for inability to empty the bowl and hard pumping.
+1. Move the selector over to wet and back, or just push it to dry as you push down the handle. I have to do that once a weekend maybe, but it shouldn't have to work that way. Maybe the inside valve is not installed properly? Are you sure the selector switch has been moved ALL the way to the dry position? Not if the hose reaches to the bottom of a full tank. You should be able to run a hose INTO the vent. If it's blocked, you will get your feet wet and know what the problem is.Would opening the waste pump-out relieve that?
Try unscrewing the deck pumpout cap. That should allow SOME improvement, but you'd still have a problem. Most likely problem is the vent at the hull, the screen is cloggged with... stuff.Presuming nothing is wrong with a new toilet, you have a blocked holding tank vent.
The vent thru-hull--the end you didn't check--is the most likely place for a vent line blockage. Clean it out using a screwdriver blade, ice pick or whatever works. Then replace the vent thru-hull with a plain ol' open "bulkhead" or "mushroom" thru-hull that you can stick a hose nozzle up against and backflush the vent line every time you wash the boat and/or pump out to prevent any more vent line blocks.Pulled the vent hose at the tank and was able to clear air outward through it, didn't try the other way, through the elbow fitting, seemed open but didn't try to force air through it.
The joker valve was installed backwards?Just installed, compact bowl, manual operation. Bowl fills on wet mode, will not empty itself and pump gets hard to push. What am I missing?
