I have a dbl. roller on bow..... have a Fortress rigged and ready on starboard roller with 12 ft. of chain and 200 ft. 5/8 3 strand twist rode, and just replaced my old 35 lb. CQR with a new Lewmar Delta 44 lb. rigged w 5/16 BBB all chain rode. Boat is 20,000 lb. disp. and 35 ft. loa. I plan to carry the CQR as spare anchor when cruising outside of US. Lookin for opinions concerning the Lewmar and suggestions as to how best rig a good snubber on all chain rode. Thanks!

For a snub, we use about 30' of one inch three strand nylon with a chain hook shackled (pin wired) to a spliced/thimbled eye. All hardware is galvanized, not s/s. That ends up being about 20' in the water with the height of the bow and the knot around the cleat. We carry two, using the second one when the wind exceeds 45 knots sustained.
This is certainly overkill for us and way so for you (5/8ths or so for you?), but I sleep well, knowing there is very little direct tension on the chain. The extra size means that I don't have to worry about it chafing through in one night, in even the worst conditions, if the chafe gear slips.
We're on our anchor some 330 days a year, so it all gets a bit of use, but we have yet to have to replace any parts but the thimble.

For our snubber, we use 30' of 5/8 three strand nylon with the midpoint passed through a shackle and pulled tight onto itself. The shackle is secured to the chain, then passed over the bow roller as the chain is let out. I used to secure each side of the bridle to the bow cleat on each side. But lately I have run both halfs of the bridle over the bow roller and then to the bow cleats. This seems to cut down on swinging at anchor.

Bonzai, last year we stopped at St Simons Island for a couple of days, very nice spot to keep a boat !
Regarding a snubber, we bought one from Defender made by cs Johnson. It was all made up and at the time on sale. We have been quite happy with it. Picture below.
We have a Fortress and a Manson Supreme anchor with two anchor rollers. I don't see how to stowe two anchors on the rollers if one is a Fortress. Do you turn the Fortress on its side ? I keep the Manson on the roller and the Fortress stowed in a locker. I did have the Fortress mounted on the bow pulpit but was concerned with a line catching on it.
