Had a great day sailing yesterday, however, hit a norther coming back north to Marina. Strong gusts ripped my jib in half. Need recommendation as to where to buy a new sail. number of ounces and any thing else I should look at. Thanks.

I needed a 150 genoa for a C25 a couple years ago. Checked with every sailmaker I could find, best deal (and it was in stock) was National. www.nationalsail.com

Check Airforce for new sails

We bought sails from Airforce a couple of years ago. Good quality product. You do the measuring. Saves significant dollars compared to the vendors that come down to your boat to take measurements. On a well-known boat like the Catalinas it's a reasonable approach. You can use their "Sailquoter" application to get a quote on-line.

Doyle right here

Hi Richard - We've had good experiences (bought a full battened mainsail and cruising spinnaker) with Doyle, bought right here from the chandlery - see Related link. It's amazing what a difference new sails can make. Best, Trevor

good new and used

Check Sailwarehouse online, Masthead sails online, any local sailmaker if you are concerned about customer service. If it's standard OEM sales these are good sources also Catalina sails.
