Hi-Mod
AFAIK Hi-Mod Marine Compression Fittings are not available for 7x19 wire. 1x19, Dyform, and 7x7 are your options.H-Mod fittings are about the same price as Sta-Lok and Norseman and about 4X more expensive that swage fittings. For rigging wire you want to limit the stretch under tension as well as having the strength you need. Even if you could find 7x19 wire that has the same breaking strength as the 1x19 that you are replacing, it would not have the same stretch characteristics. As much as I like the Hi-Mod fittings, I think they are too expensive for small boats (wire under about 5/16" diameter). If you price out the rigging with swage fittings and with Hi-Mod fittings, you will find out that the break even point on cost id about the 3rd or 4th rig replacement. For a world cruiser that see's 40,000 miles in 3 years and replaces the wire, it makes sense over 10-12 years. For boats that change the wire out on a 10-15 year schedule, you are looking at owning the boat for 30-45 years to break even on the cost.
