Moving winch position

Ive owned my person 28 for not quite a year now. It has a wheel and sailing solo it's very difficult to get to the genoa sheets at the winches which out of reach from helm. Does anyone see an issue with moving the winches back toward the stern to a position where they could be reached comfortably from the helm?
anybody have any experience similar ?

Yup, do you have an autopilot? Use it and get away from behind the wheel.
