Single handing C22
Hi Dan,I recently decided to get back into sailing and due to my wifes ill health will have to single hand the boat. I had a Macgregor 25 before and decided to check out 21 or 22 foot boats this time. I finally decided on a C22 for good cabin space, similar to the Mac 25 except no enclosed head. The boat I found already had a furling foresail and I had the main halyard ran to the cockpit. I also had it rigged with EZ Jacks and a main downhaul that are controlled from the cockpit. The only time I want to be on the foredeck is when the boat is in the slip. I checked out the Venture 21, San Juan 21, Mac 22 and then decided on the C22 because it has more of a bigger boat feel in the 22 foot length. A big plus is that you can get virtually any part for maintanence or repair and with such a large fleet you can buy one for whatever your pocketbook can handle and there is so much C22 information available on the internet. Good Luck,Jon
