Moving throttles up the pedestal

My throttles are currently located down low by my feet and would rather have them up near the wheel. Any suggestions and cost considerations.Also is there a Catalina store web site? Thanks for any help.

I have a 1983 Catalina 27 and did the same thing. Edson has a throttle conversion kit you can purchase to move both throttle and clutch up to the pedestal. The kit you need depends on the the engine and transmission you have. My one draw back was that the throttle wound up working in reverse i.e. fast went slow and slow went fast. Make sure to ask the right questions from Edson. Coincidently, you can either get the part directly from Edson or order them from West Marine. Besides the throttle problem, I still am pleased with moving the controls. I prefer them more within reach rather than taking my eyes away from a situation.
