Moving her from Key Largo to Fort Lauderdale ...OOps!

So I finally took her out of Key Largo on her way to home port - Las Olas, Ft. Lauderdale, a beautiful area, if you're not familiar with Las Olas you should def. check it out.

I purchased Sea-Tow just in case... Lucky man, the drive shaft coupler? sheared just outside of Miami's Biscayne bay, had to have her towed, Hauled, shaft remanufactured, new coupler yada yada yada - $ 2800 later :-( She should be good to go again, plan on finishing her voyage next weekend, hopefully nothing more BIG after this

Sorry to hear that mate, but a new to you boat has a habit of breaking itself and you in. We can all tell some horror stories about calamities on new boats, so you're not alone. Don't give up on her yet. Besides you know what BOAT stands for right? Break Out Another Thousand! ps. Sea Tow or Boat US is worth every penny. If you don't have it, then you'll need it sooner or $1,500 later.
