I would like to mount a combo 13 inch tv and vcr probably on the starboard side infront of the bulkhead. Has anybody done this, and maybe used an attachable hanging bracket? How did you get it wired up? Thanks for any ideas.

Ed, You may want to consider a TV/DVD combo. The DVD's are easier to store and take up far less room. I have a 1000 watt inverter to run this kind of stuff. I think you'll find that if your just running a TV you can get away with a smaller one. Have you considered a flat pannel. The prices have come way down on the 13 to 15 inch models. I saw on 15' model advertised for $499. It didn't have the VCR or DVD in it though. The upside is you may be able to mount it directly on a wall and conserve space. I have one of those UFO style antennas on the top of the mast with a amplifier on it. It works so so. Regards, Chris

I have a9" Panasonic TV VCR It sit on top of the starbord hanging locker I hold it there with velcro and a small strap that cant be seen,I wired it for both 110 or 12 volt and put a110 A B switch on my braker panel so at the dock I can use shore power and out sailing I switch to 12V. I tryed the 13"panasosic but I felt it was a little big for my C30 and takes 35% more power My TV is a few years old .The new 13" tv burns alot less power and now they make small dvd players that you can mount anty where , I think a 13"TV without the built in vcr would fit fine.I will stick with vcr for the boat the tapes are easer to come by, 6 tapes for 2bucks I have a small dvd player for the car it plugs into the TV VCR combo in the boat. My kids 5 7 &15 cant go with out a Scuby doo & shaggggy fix for more then a few hours. The boys love to sail becouse you cant here the TV over the desiel and if I blast the TV and close the hatch I cant even hear there mother yelling at them. J Olson

Ed; When I had my Cat 30, I used a 9" 12v tv that we kept stored in its box in the aft bunk. To use it, I set it on top of the chart table and plugged it in to 12v at the breaker panel. We never used it while under way, only at anchor, on a mooring or in the slip.
