More 3D printing

This almost feels wrong on several levels..
It says the Navy plans to put these to use by 2019...are there some out there?

Maybe we can reduce the cost of a new 40-foot Beneteau by 90% so I can get the Admiral to approve the budget for a new one!

That would be great technology to reproduce obsolete parts for older boats.. For instance, the pvc fixed port frames that Hunter used in the mid/late 80's on the 31, 34, 40 etc.. The extrusion is no longer available but a 3d printed frame would be fairly easy to make because of the simple cross section.
most 3D printers would not have long enough bed but it could be printed in sections and glued together.
