I have a C30 with a bow sprint and the support cable is rubbing against my mooring lines and fraying them to the point where I need to replace them. Has anyone who moors had this problem and what did they put over the cable to prevent it from happening again? Thanks

Same problem when I anchor

I have the same chafing problem when i anchor my 27 tall rig. Its a real pain when you anchor but, I used a split piece of garden hose from the cleat down about 2 feet. You could put a piece on your mooring line and leave it.

frayed mooring lines

Mine is an '85 w/bowsprit. To prevent your bobstay (under the bowsprit) from fraying your mooring line, arrange bow ties so that they do not run across under the bow. Use the cleats on either side of the bow. Similarly, at anchor, use a chain cleat or secondary bridle which has its ends attached one to each of the cleats on either side of the bow; slack off on the anchor line and set this cleating line so that the anchor rode rides near the waterline, under the bobstay. Leave the anchor line slack on the bow roller.
