One Last Thought
First of all, I know for sure I'd never go for a deal like this. My boats are extensions of my home, and I wouldn't use my home this way either. That said, if you DO decide to just pretend no one knows anything, at a very minimum, I'd lock the boat to the mooring bouy. A person that would board another's boat for personal pleasure might would take it for a "short cruise" as well.I can see the scenario's now - BlondeBunny says "Honey, you said this is your boat, let's take a long afternoon today and go sailing" GenerousBenefactor - "Uh, OK sweetums, whatever you say" Two hours later, when the boat is grounded with keel damage, your insurance company wants to know "Was the boat taken out by the third party with permission, or was it stolen? If it was stolen, have you filed a police report?"All kinds of grief just waiting in the wings.
