Lots of Choices

Russ, Lots of choices in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area - lakes, rivers, but cost won't be cheap if convenience and distance is priority. I have H26. E-mail me to discuss options ---- FraboniMN@earthlink.net Ron

Beachouse Marina

I have an H260 and keep it in Bayport at the Beachouse Marina. Bayport is on the St Croix river, about 22 miles from St. Paul. There are other marinas in this area too. The Beachouse doesn't have many slips but I just keep it in drydock with the mast up all season, unless I'm traveling. Bayport Marina has many slips but they're costly. Also, you can go down river to Hudson Marina or Afton Marina. They have many slips but once again, they're spendy. Hope to see you on the St. Croix. The water is absolutely beautiful. Tim

On Lake Minnetonka

Russ, When we had our h-26 in MN, we kept it on Lake Minnetonka at Shorewood Yacht Club. It was a nice place with good facilities, but it was expensive (although, any place on Lake Minnetonka is expensive! Don't be surprised at $5,000/summer) The nice thing about Shorewood was that it was off the beaten path, pretty quiet and a short walk to Excelsior, which is a quaint little lakeside town. The Lake itself was fun to sail, but weekends could get a bit hectic with very large motor boats with little common sense. Shorewood is under new management since I was there, so I can't vouch for them, but they did have good slips. (The pier on the far left, facing the lake, was the best, since the finger slips were wider and more sturdy!) Good luck, Dave s/v Wind Dreamer II
