Thanks for passing this info, when I read Jody Schroath cut and paste plus the I
got too upset and had to send the Lou Sanson a message. which is bellow.
I hope Berserk makes it under its own steam to where ever there is safety.
Bellow the link to the contact webpage of the NZ antarctica unit.

Dear Sir,
Regarding your comments on the possible loss of S/Y Berserk I find infuriating
an degrading that someone in a position such as your self could make comments,
which instead of praising highly the courageousness of people who although
having a number of obstacles still managed to get to places beyond the reach of
regular humans, you, instead try to portrait them as a bunch of amateurs.
My self being a sailor on temperate climates, safety is the first item on my
agenda (and that of those sailors around these parts), and with out a second of
thought I would have to say Jarle’s position on the matter too.
Ask your self this question. You have some brilliant members on your team, how
many of them would be willing to go days with out properly laid out meal times,
warm food, a warm bath and a warm and dry bed in which to sleep 8 hrs a day?
With all the funds that the NZ government provides it is easy to have all the
latest technology and equipment, next time you have to give an opinion, just
think for a minute on the dreamer, the real adventurer and the little man who
would do and give anything to reach the last frontier.
If your comments where misinterpreted then perhaps a clarification from the
newspaper is required.
Regards
Roger

Subject: [AlbinVega] Berserk missing?
According to a german newspaper, recently s/y Berserk is reported missing in
Antarctica. Possibly this is Jarle Andhøy’s?
Remember in the nineties Jarle undertook a voyage in Antarctica with his, at
that time, Vega “Berserk”. Later Jarle sailed a larger “Berserk” of a
different make.
Appreciate to hear more news if/when available.
Many thanks,
Rob Kloosterman
