Mermaid raw water pump

18 months ago I installed a mermaid A/C system in my C30. All has been fine. Mermaid was very helpful during installation. However, today I think my raw water pump on the A/C failed. Thoughts? Replacement thoughts? I've sent an email to Mermaid.

They know they have a problem

I recently installed a mermaid unit. I heard that the raw water pump tends to fail and asked them about an upgraded pump. They told me that they knew they had a problem with their basic pump and just came out with an improved version. They suggested I don't upgrade, use the new basic pump, and should be OK. If I were you, I'd complain and (if the pump is out of warranty) ask them to replace it anyway with the newer version of the basic pump.Good luck!
