I am looking at purchasing a ComPac 27.7 I looked at one from the mid 90's and found the mast compression post and bulkhead rotted out from water leaking down the mast wiring. Three questions. 1. How common is this on ComPac 27's ? 2. How is this wiring designed to be sealed against this problem ? Externally you can see nothing. 3. How can you get under the main cabin sole to check the compression post area ? Anything short of destroying the main cabin sole wood flooring ? Thanks for any comments/replys.
