Mast question

Has anyone had any trouble with corrosions on their mast where the spreaderconnects to it. I had a rigger checking my mast and he found it. He saidI can just paint it and another rigger says that I need to replace the Mast.Any information would be welcome. Thanks

How bad is it?

Last year I replaced my wooden spreaders with the aluminum upgrade kit from Catalina. I was nervous when I took off the spreader hardware at the mast because it was stainless on aluminum
