mast gates

i have a '74 c-27 and am looking for either a standard set of mast gates to fit this extrusion or a plan method to build them myself. anything would be helpful.

mast gate solution

Hi Joe,I have had my 1982 C-27 (5110) for 4 seasons and have battled with the mast gate. Catalina sent me an upgrade... couldn't get it to work.Designed my own. I at least worked better than Catalina's but not good enough.Final asked my sailmaker about the problem of reefing with the mast gate. For $10.00 he modified my main with a jackline that allows the bottom two slugs to remain out of the track but held in place by the installed jackline.Skip the gate solution... see your sailmaker.
