All I can say is we were at the Annapolis show right next to the MH 31, but ashore. We were there with two Hunter sailing groups in the Chesapeake Bay, HSA-1 and Northern Star. I can't tell you how many folks stopped by our booth and commented on either how much they liked the boat after seeing it or telling us that was their next stop at the show.

Sad to see the Hunter brand name slowly fading away.
I don't know that I'd see it as fading away. The name is getting an opportunity to live on in a new form.
Marlow obviously saw that there was brand equity in the Hunter name and despite their own significant brand recognition chose to incorporate the Hunter name to capitalize on that equity.
For those of us who own a Hunter I think it actually helps maintain the value of our boats to have a new generation coming to market where the Hunter brand is given recognition through incorporation in the name.

It isn't without precedent in the Hunter history either. Weren't there Cherubini Hunters produced?

What I observed when looking at the main front page splash that Phil posted above, Hunter only appears in the very fine print.

that's what happens when the one with the money takes over ...i am thinking the only reason he keeped the hunter name was because hunter is a familiar name in sailing and marlow is not as of yet ...what he has to do now is get in some racing victories

Yes, that link I posted is from a British dealer, and in the UK they can't use the name Hunter.
