I don't know that I'd see it as fading away. The name is getting an opportunity to live on in a new form.Sad to see the Hunter brand name slowly fading away.
that is a very good analogyI don't know that I'd see it as fading away. The name is getting an opportunity to live on in a new form.
Marlow obviously saw that there was brand equity in the Hunter name and despite their own significant brand recognition chose to incorporate the Hunter name to capitalize on that equity.
For those of us who own a Hunter I think it actually helps maintain the value of our boats to have a new generation coming to market where the Hunter brand is given recognition through incorporation in the name.
It isn't without precedent in the Hunter history either. Weren't there Cherubini Hunters produced?
that's what happens when the one with the money takes over ...i am thinking the only reason he keeped the hunter name was because hunter is a familiar name in sailing and marlow is not as of yet ...what he has to do now is get in some racing victoriesWhat I observed when looking at the main front page splash that Phil posted above, Hunter only appears in the very fine print.
Sad to see the Hunter brand name slowly fading away.
Hunter Legend vice Hunter Marine has been the label in the UK for ever has it not? Sail is a British publication, ergo Marlow Legend. I have not seen anything but Marlow Hunter in N.A. Have a peak at the Marlow Hunter website. http://marlow-hunter.com
Just like in oz there is no burger king only hungry jacks as a matter fact I don't remember any dairy queens their either. But I did see a few x dressers in MelbourneYes, that link I posted is from a British dealer, and in the UK they can't use the name Hunter.
