With the fresh water seacock open the standard a/c that came with our '99 H340 shuts off. The code on the panel says HHH (I guess overheat) and then shuts off (probably good). Appears no water flow out the discharge thru hull. Pump is an obvious culprit. Anyone know of a convenient way to check this or other possible probles... thx

Does the pump run?

If it does then it's probably air locked and you need to bleed the air. I've had the same problem with mine. Loosen one of the connections after the pump and then turn the pump on until water flows, tighten the connection and it should be OK.

I agree with Mark

I agree with Mark. The water pump for my A/C,(also a 99' 340)gets air-locked over the winter every year. Just loosen a connection after (or before) the pump and try to start it. All of the air will get pushed out and you will be fine.

We have a brand new 320. Our seawater pump isn't working either. Neither the heat (which we would like this weekend) nor the A/C work properly without it. Could this be our problem also? We'll certainly try this when we get there later today.

clean the strainer

Since the AC runs only at the dock, the pump seems to collect all kinds of interesting things.
