TMI
Reviews are reviews. You never know who wrote them. You get what you pay for.
It's the price we pay for all this information. Some people complain about it, but they're not old enough to remember the "good old days" when you actually had to read a book or actually go there to find out conditions.

Gee, what a silly thing to complain about, TMI!
Now you can get on the internet, and ask a question and get an almost immediate reply.
Sometimes all it shows is how lazy the OP really is, no research, homework or trying a search engine (how many transmission position questions are there?!?

, (how many boating people these days really don't know about Active Captain?); (how many people can't use Google?). Other-times it opens up great discussions that can be learning experiences for everyone who reads them. Sometimes, like this morning on another boating forum, the OP asks a question and argues with the answers (in this case he asked how far offshore the east coast USA he should sail to avoid the Gulf Stream, completely missing the point that not only does the GS move daily, but the stream and the land curve!!!).
Have you tried Yelp, too?
