I'm attaching a couple of pics in case this helps with the bow roller questions. The 25 lb anchor just fits ours.
Have you installed an anchor lock on your system? A high-mass anchor like this can move around, come loose and do damage at the most inopportune time. A locking system on the chain just aft the shank end will jam the anchor to the roller.

Mantus anchors

To all who have or want to have a Mantus Anchor and wonder how to mount on the bowsprit. (I have a 1984 Catalina 30 Tall Rig) I am on a mooring at our club and do not want the large fluke of the anchor anywhere near the mooring pendants. I also do not want the 35lb Mantus to be on the anchor roller I got, except when I am retrieving the anchor. When it gets to the roller, I generally remove it from the roller and stow it in my 4" PVC tube. Photos will be more than the several thousand words I could say. Any questions, let me know.

The cover on the hawsepipe locks the chain, but I also tie off the shank of the anchor to the bow stantions (the 2nd ones back). So far so good. Then there's also the bungee visible in the photo, which doesn't do much but look ghetto. But then, I have this thing for bungees...

Re: Mantus anchors

The bungee to port supports the lifted anchor locker lid. Note the capture pin through the roller and anchor.

Here you go. I could get you more pictures, but it's 40 degrees and raining today.
Hey there, this is Greg with Mantus, thank you for the write up and the pic... But I did want to mention your roll bar is installed backwards.... Just swap it 180 degrees...

That's the way I roll. I was rigged for south of the equator, where the vortices spin backwards. But since we're north, I can just pull it the other way. Maybe the roll bar is right, but the rest of the anchor is backwards. Haha, just kidding. I'm glad the anchor performs so well, despite user error and being put together incorrectly. I'll have to assemble it correctly next summer. Thanks for the tip, Greg!
