Maintenance on C-30

I have a 1979 Cat. 30 with a 11hp Universal dsl engine. I have had the boat for 2 years and have been changing the engine oil but not doing much else maintenance. What other mechanical maintenance should I look into doing before this season? Transmission fluid?, fuel filters?, stuffing box?, belts? Is there anything else? What is most important? impeller, fuel filters

I am very interested in hearing what others will say...but, I would replace the impeller in the water pump annually and the fuel filters with the oil changes. If the stuffing box leaks more than you like, you can repack it. What about the cutlass bearing and your zincs?

Give 'em a little twist

I'm going through similar things now... You might want to replace all fuel lines and hoses now. Depending on how many hours and how often the engine was used, they may be due or dry rotted. Also have your mech reset the valves just for good measure and look into having your injectors cleaned. Do these things and it should outlast your ownership...
