My Benateau 321 has a Profurling system, and nothing has been done since the boat was new(1996). I noticed in recent years it is increasingly hard to furl in. Is there any lubricating parts I missed? Thanks.

Lime can build up. Bearings can corrode or fail (particularly plastic after 14 years). If metal bearings, lubrication is good.
Mine explode on a cruise, which was inconvenient. I would get a copy of the manual, open hr up, and have a look. I doubt the problem is going to get better, only worse.
The rebuild (see below) was not difficult or expensive, and life is better now.

Take the sail off. Check the swivel to make sure it is still moving freely. Spin it by hand just to see if you can feel any resistance that is not normal.
Do you know what model you have? Do you have any pictures of it?
