We just sailed / motored 160 miles around NJ (Riverside to Barnegat Bay)... used the ODay 322 reefing system and it worked well. But I did not have a diagram of the proper set up (I guessimated the line runs for the 1st and 2nd reefs). I lost a mast fitting (1 inch SS ring) that is held on to the mast with 3 pop rivets (one on the port side and one on starboard side) near the gooseneck. I ran the 1st reefing line through the starboard ring and the 2nd reefing line through the port ring. I did this in the belief that it would hold the mainsail’s Cunningham at each reef point closer to the gooseneck. Does anyone have a diagram showing the proper rigging of these reef lines?

322 Reefing

The rigging diagrams in the 322 manual show how the reefing lines should be set up. I have it and can fax to you if you like. It sounds like you have it right though.

Oday 322 reefing / owners manual

It would be great to get a copy! Please fax to 309-215-1954. I am the 2nd owner of this boat... it had all the systems manuals but no "Owners" manual. How big is it? Can I pay you for a copy? Or can I scan it and post it to this web site? (I plan to do this to the 322 sales brochure I just received in as well.)

322 Manual

The pages in the manual are 8 - 1/2 x 11. It has about 50 sheets or so, double sided. I should be able to copy the pages and mail it to you no charge. I believe I have it at home, but if I left it on the boat, it will be sometime after Oct. 27.
