Some cloud services don't allow hot linking to another forum. Helps to prevent photos from being stolen or misappropriated.

I don't understand, they are there and then they disappear if I post a new photo... What is the issue with onedrive?
If I go to "edit" the link is completely gone. It's not broken
hm, they have an "embed" option and it works right up until I add a new post with more photos...
I can't speak to OneDrive, I use iCloud, however, they are probably similar.
Use the "upload a file" option, browse to the file/photo you want to post and then upload it. With iCloud and photos, first I have to export the file to the desktop and then upload because of the way Photos stores the images.
If I use Dropbox, I just upload from the Dropbox folder.

You can also create a gallery under your SBO profile from which you can link to pictures for posts. I did that for my hatchboard posts. You can choose to make the gallery public or not. I think it is public by default. I've seen other members save their pictures to the gallery I started, so I'm not sure what that means, but those pictures are always there to reference after that.
