The foredeck hatch on my 2009 26M does not seal. The thick gasket has pulled away and I can see lots of daylight when the hatch is closed. I am going to replace the gasket, and have removed it completely, and now when I close the hatch I notice the hinge bolts actually touch the fiberglass. This seems like the hinges were replaced (with incorrect ones) by a previous owner. I am hoping this was not a factory install because it is pretty lousy if it is. And the latch that closes it all seems retrofit as well, I have never seen such a latch on any other boat (and I have seen lots of various sailboats). I am hoping someone can take a photo of their original hatch hardware and let me see what they should look like. I have posted photos of mine in case it helps.
