M25 rigging unknowns

Trying to figure out purpose of hardware in two places:
1st pic- plate with threaded hole on both sides of mast outside shroud mount?
2nd pic- slider rail with eye mount on both side of cockpit close to cabin?
Appreciate all input..... stumped sailing expert at West Marine....

Mac 25

Used to own a 1985 MAC 25. I think the first picture is where the bracket mounts that holds the pop top up. There should be one on each side of the pop top. I don't recall what the slide rail was used for.

Not knowing Magregors at all, I would say the second pic is an attachment point for a snatch block for your jib sheets.
