Be careful in Salem Sound
Congratulations , Ed. I do have some suggestions if you are a new sailor to Salem Sound. 1) Salem Sound is full of marked and unmarked rocks and hard shoals. Have a friend who knows the Sound or else consider hiring an experienced captain to show you around. Every weekend a new boat owner runs aground in the Sound during the summer. 2) Learn to be very aware of the lobster pots, or you will find them you least expect it. 3) I am a Cat 30 owner and the North Shore is great for boats of our size.
