1- stuffing box. for Irwin 1981 34' Citation
a. Anyone know where the orig. nylon & locking nut were manufactured?
1. can anyone confirm the type of thread it looks very coarse to me?
b. Original parts are from the 1981 stuffing box & rudder post assembly:
Original parts were likely made from nylon
See attached photos for original parts of stuffing box still
installed in sailboat. I have not attempted to remove this part.
Also see old Irwin drawing attached; view lower right area.
OD dim. On large nut; face to face: 2.5"
ID dim. Of this same part: 1.75"
Thread looks to be relatively coarse.
Rudder shaft dim.: 1.25"
c.
d. I also need locking nut; the one w/ the vertical hole for cotter pin
etc.
e. Any know of current supplier?
