Looking for help with installing a Raymarine EV-200 on a 2006 Hunter 33

I am trying to install a Raymarine EV-200 on my 2006 Hunter 33. I initially purchased a EV-100 to mount on the wheel but is was made of plastic and look very fragile. Was recommended to use the Raymaine EV-200 - it was more robust and reliable. Now trying to see - do I need to use a dual Rudder lever, how to install the linear actuator etc......

What is a "dual Rudder lever?"

I've installed these. The toughest part, in my opinion, is engineering a mount for the actuator in the event your boat is not prepared for this form the factory. How far along have you gotten on this?

Maybe the term Tiller lever is a better name. I have seen a couple similar to the one below. For how far along - I have the equipment and wanted to fully understand what is needed before I start the work or employ someone to install.

Ah, O.K. I don't like the fact that it's welded-up like that. The "standard" approach is an Edson bronze tiller arm, admittedly at high cost (like $450).

I agree - I attached a sample - will I need to use a dual arm for the autopilot? Trying to find a person that has installed on a Hunter 33 to learn from their experience

So.... what's your update? How did installation go? I am also installing a RAYMARINE EV-200 LINEAR TYPE 1.

I don’t know why you would need a “dual” timer arm, unless you are planning to use a separate “arm” for your rudder sensor.

A single tiller arm, as @jviss showed should work. A rudder sensor has no real force on it…mine is mounted on a wood block mounted on my radial quadrant.
