Location of main dc fuse - 1985 hunter 40

I have a hunter 40 I have owned for 20 years. I was changing the 4d batteries under the aft berth, and accidentally touched the 6. Gauge starter wire to a battery post. Sparks, melted the casing, part of the wire strands. I replace the wire, but I only have DC power on the main panel for a few items now (bilge pump). Everything else is off - no lights, water pressure, starter, etc. I am assuming I blew a fuse, but for the life of me I can't find it to. The panel has several small fuses, but those are just for the bilge and deep freeze, and they work.

Does anybody know where I might find the main DC fuse? I have never had a reason to find it before. I have tried the main DC switch on the panel, but it doesn't help.

I have an '85 H40 so I'll toss out a couple thoughts.

As far as I know the only factory fuse is the one on the panel for the bilge pump. Everything else is a breaker. In 14 years I've not run into any breakers or fuses between the batteries and the panel.

If you're getting power to the main DC breaker on the panel then I would guess your problem is downstream from that.

You may have already tried this but I'd try cycling ALL the breakers in the panel.

If that doesn't help I'm afraid you'll need to check for voltages at each circuit to track down the problem(s.)

I have a 1994 Hunter 40.5. Although I've never tripped it there is a pushbutton 50A breaker (push to reset) on the panel near the batteries where my DC On Off switch is located. I assume its in the circuit. I don't see a way to trip it manually like a normal circuit breaker. I'll be going into that panel in a few days to do some rewiring so I'll check it out. Look for a small red button that says 50A and the word Battery near it.
