Where can I locate a third battery (i.e., I want to double my accessory storage capacity by adding a third battery -- the other two are located under the nav station).
I added two more batteries. Now I have 3 house batteries and one starter. I put my new batteries under the quarterberth next to the fuel tank. It fit fine.
I put my third on the fiberglass shelf just outboard of the well for the two existing batteries (under the nav station). You have to rotate the battery 90% and cut the back portion of the existing wood shelf to get it to fit, but you then have real short cable runs & all the batteries close toether.
The 3rd battery is between the holding tank and the water pump. It is a starter battery with an isolator. keeps the house from draining it, but will allways take a charge
