If you've got a marine supplier close by, so much the better to check the size AND purchase a SS nylock nut all in one fell swoop.
Better get two nuts, one to accidentally drop over the side and the other to actually install.
that's a possibility. The M14's that i tried were 1.75mm. The M16 slipped right over the threads.Far be it for me to give you expert advice on mechanical issues but I do see that both M14 and M16 come in fine and coarse thread pitch. The coarse is 2.00mm and the fine is 1.50mm.
M14x2. Beneteau's are metric.The thread is probably SAE not metric.
