Legend 37 stay and shroud lengths?

Any 37 Legend owners here that might be able to tell me the lengths of the various shrouds and stays? Or is that a state secret .... I've googled all over and apparently my google foo isn't doing well today.

Well, after some digging, all I've come up with is the forestay length. Apparently it's 13.5 (4.1 in metric).

Yeah, no units. But with not much effort, it dawned on me that they changed the units to yards.
The bad part is that when I checked it against data from another site, it wasn't the same length. So, that means that I'm still not sure what it is. And that's only one dimension.

It's almost as if these measurements are highly guarded secrets of the rigging trade. After all, it is a "production" boat... and rigging should be one of the surest measurements... it's frustrating.

Not really.
Your boat’s rig dimensions are determined by the mast height. They can be generally derived from the
I, J, P lengths for the boat.

A rigger will use these numbers to get an approximate number to rough cut your shrouds. Then they will measure twice your actual rig length before the Final Cut. It is a cut to match length why a rigger prefers to do this work with the mast in the yard laying on a stand of sawhorses.

Thanks for the info... unfortunately, as far as I can tell, (and if this sounds grumpy, forgive me, please. I'm not even halfway through my 1st cup of coffee) that only gets me the lengths of the forestay and backstay (if it's not split, which mine is) ... but not the shrouds.

Part of the issue is that I'm 70 years old, and weigh a couple hundred pounds, and I'm alone. *I* am not going up there to measure. LOL I also think that if the manufacturer can publish the lengths of halyards, sheets, and other running rigging, why not the standing rigging? But I guess that was too much to ask for.

Looks like I'll have to run an ad for someone to climb the mast for cheap so I can measure it. I've done it before, just don't like spending the money... or getting all the responses that think I mean something other than an aluminum extrusion when I refer to a mast as well as some other action when I say I want them to climb it.

Guess I have a LOT of measuring to do.

If running rigging is cut a couple feet too long because of small changes to things like deck layout over the production run it’s no big deal. If rigging is off by a couple inches it’s a very big deal. With rigging and sails having a boat/hull specific measurement is best, even for production boats.

Oh, also, would be nice to find the actual types of wire ... the lower shrouds seem to be thicker (heavier) than the upper ones, and I can't get to the backstay (it's split a few feet up) and the forestay is inside the furler.

I think I'd drop the mast and take the well labeled shrouds and stays to a rigging shop for duplication before I'd hire someone to climb the rig and measure.

Well, after thinking about it, there are a few other things I need to take care of up the mast... I realized that I want to put lazy jacks up and I need to put a couple cheek blocks up for those, and then there is a line/halyard that exits the front about the height of the second spreaders that needs to be freed up. it somehow jumped the sheave and is stuck between the sheave and the mast extrusion. So I guess I'm going to get someone to do that and it should only take an additional 45 minutes or so to take the measurements of the shrouds.

Not exactly going to be easy on the budget, but such is life.
