Have a pearson 31 and discovered a very leaky mast boot
Anyone know if you have to change that when the mast is DOWN and apart? Also, leaking windows... best way to repair

Open up the mast boot and see what's underneath. The boot rarely catches everything. Explore your boat.

Go to Catalina Direct and look up the window (portlight) replacements. Thousands of posts on this topic on this board and just about every other sailing board known to man or woman:), you could also try Google. Many Catalina replacement kits could fit your boat.

where asre your windows leaking... I bought all new gaskets for mine and they are leak free. Had to rebed a few due to previous owners sloppy work.

I replaced my mast boot this year with mast down. Slid old one off and slid new one on. Check out the boot and see where the water is coming in... maybe you can peal the top back a bit and add some silicone.
