SS will develop crevice corrosion if it is left in a wet oxygen deprived environment. It does not look like the corrosion we're all used to seeing on a rusty nail. It is roughly the same color as SS, but there will be pits and cracks (crevices) in the area that has been deprived of oxygen.Nothing in the bilge is corroded in fact only the back two have a touch of discoloration. It is not necessarily your practice that has caused the issue. It is all those evil prior owners, aka, the POsThe bilge doesnt stay wet I dry it out quite frequently and the is only used 3 months then hauled and covered.
