Interesting. I also made a significant math error. I inverted the 3600/6076 in the reduced formula. Correcting my error, I get the below formula, which I have corrected above, and it works out to:

0.5925(LWL/s)=k/h
I used popcorn from the bow to stern on a 30 foot boat. If it was five seconds
0.5925(30'/5s)=3.555 knots

@All U Get, what speed did you think the boat was actually going?

Yeah, 3 kts. Explains why I was always late for happy hour. As for my math skills, I blame it all on sitting next to Carla DelVechio in senior algebra class. I was a bit distracted.
