Kermit in winter

Funny. It's raining today. I can't remember the last time we sailed. Last time we took the boat out we motored to Liberty on the Lake which is a restaurant at Lake Murray Marina. I was on the boat Tuesday but didn't sail.

Amen! I go over to bail water from a slow topside leak that will require re-bedding stuff in the spring, but she's a little torn up inside in the meantime. My wife is the one with the psychic connection to stuff, but would at least agree that a well loved boat sails better than any other. 
Funny Kermit. My old boat was named the Spirit of Liberty (Catalina 30). I loved that boat. It inspired me to name the dingy Justice. I had Liberty and Justice.
Justice, my dingy, just doesn't have the same ring to it when pulled by my current boat, Saga. Saga and Justice. Oh well.

Just wondering about the amount of snow on the cover,expecting a need to shovel email from the marina any day!
Crazy Dave will tell that you don't need to worry about the ballast freezing on SML. He used it as an example when I asked if I needed to be concerned about freezing on Lake Murray.
When the sun is out, it heats up inside Rgranger's 26 and will keep the water ballast warm enough not to freeze up during the night. Rob, the worst thing to do is leave a space heater on the Hunter 26 going without anyone on board. Suggest that you pick a very cold morning and go look thru the vent and you will see what I am talking about. Never was a problem at Smith Mt. Lake. If you go north of the VA line may be issues. Had many of those boats stay in the lake during the winter without any issue.

I was reading the owners manual and it said something about the freezing so I got worried.... The heater I put in the boat is set to 45 degrees so it will only cut on when it gets really cold out.
