Sometime in the dim and distant past I remember seeing a reference to there being a "Firebrick" in the keel casting on Catalina 30's.Does anyone know if this is a fact and if so the dimensions.Thanks

Last one with wood in the keel

I checked recently with Catalina Yachts before buying my '88.....the first 30 they made without the wood was hull # 5397... mine hull is #5419....
