The work is slow and frustrating!,, I have spent the last thee evenings after work, laying on my back, looking up at the centerboard iand keel trunk, and taking a hacksaw blade with no handle, and trying to clear the mud-dobber mess, and old bottom paint, and shave a tiny portion of the delaminated centerboard so it will move out of the trunk. No luck thus far. I am considering screwing an eyebolt through the old steel so I could have an attachment to pull down, but the eyebolt would probably not hold in the flakey rust. If I cut a hole in the trunk from the Bildge side, I could perhaps see the stern edge of the centerboard and I could push it out from the top. There are only remnants of two stainless screws thar I can see from below that may have held the pivot pin in place. I can see a small end of the pivot pin on the port side and a larger end on the starboard side and I think driving out the pin will not free the centerboard. What keeps water from flowing into the boat with your system? Did you use original nylon rod with "packing"? Did you have trouble with a stuck centerboard? Do you have the old original winch and was it functional?,
