I've found a 27 Cat with keel bolts that are barely recognizable due to rust degeneration. Never mind the nuts... they're toast! Has anyone ever replaced the "j-hook" style keel bolts in a 27? If so how expensive was the repair?

Toasted Keel Bolts on a 30 Footer

The keel bolts on my 30' Catalina were also toast. The bilge water had reduced them to an unrecognizable mess as was the case with yours. I corresponded with Catalina and learned that I had to install 10" Stainless lag bolts in the keel to keep it on the boat. I did. I also kept whatever holding power was left in the original bolts by ebcapsulating the ugly nub that was left of each bolt in a blob (I looked for a better word, but couldn't find one) of epoxy. All bilge work was sealed with 5200. Works well so far.
