Totally not dumb....

My sailing friends and I have tossed this question around quite a bit. For the relatively light airs around San Diego and Orange County we feel the most important sail is a medium dacron, or laminate, 150. That's what I use the most. I also have a 110 blade for heavier air and easier single-handing. I would cut one of your 135's down to make the 110 then invest in a high quality 150. That would give you a #1 medium, #2 heavy, #3 heavy, and a storm jib. Maybe the other storm jib could be converted to a storm staysail. Handy sails if you do any cruising.

Verrrry good advice, Joe

That would make a great inventory of sails! One point would be to make sure the sail you would probably use the most is the one in the best condition. IOW, if you cut down one of the 135s & sail in lighter air, make sure the 135 that you keep is the better of the two - or vice versa.

One for all.......

If your not racing.....I suggest a well constructed 135 which is furled. I can furl my 135 w/ North furling gear in 15 seconds, easy. Also a backup is recommended.
