Yes. The sailmaker builds a luff pad, made of foam, into the luff of the sail to do this. Mine is set up for two reefs. It should also be reinforced at the reef points.
Virtually all sail companies have foam luff panels that are sewn into the sail, parallel with the luff. As the sail is rolled up, the added thickness helps the sail to maintain it's shape, up to a point.
