It's 5 O'clock Somewhere, and I Need a Blender.

Has anyone tried this product. It got mixed reviews on Amazon. Mention was made about having adequate wire size to the plug. I need a another 12v plug anyway and would dedicate a heavier guage wire to it.
The complaints are that it does not slush.
I know there are tailgate crank blenders. I'm not sure they would also slush.

Practical Sailor tested the Warning Tailgater and said that it is not as strong as a similar size AC, but that it is a good alternative to some of the battery-powered blenders. They made smoothies and margaritas in it. They said it works better if you put the liquid in 1st and then add the ice.

I have been looking at the GSI Outdoors Vortex Blender at Amazon for $100. Not sure about it yet.

We had a 12v battery blender - I don't remember the name. It was fine. Yes it didn't make a chunk free Margarita but it was fine. The batteries were rechargeable and lasted a decent amount of time.

I've burned out a couple of inverters already. I need another cigarette lighter 12 v plug. The one I have is in an inconvenient place and has only 16 gauge wiring going to it. I only use if for charging my cell phone. If I install another plug it will be inside the companionway bulk head. There it will be closer to the stereo where I can also use it to charge my phone while I play Pandora. It will also be convenient to the cock pit. I will run a heavier wire to it for the blender.
