I decided to open a new topic because I really don't know how to feel about this situation.
As background, pop on over to the Catalina site and go to the C22 section. There is an article titled "since there was talk of a knock down" written by our old friend on the sail trim forum - OLD CAT. He comes from Wonmop, CO, which doesn't even exist but that's another story.
My first thought was some folks just shouldn't own a sail boat if they don't know how to sail it but then I thought maybe some folks shouldn't drive cars, fly planes or even ride a bike. Other can't even walk straight. We live in an active adult community (4500 homes) and people prefer to walk in the middle of the streets so you have to watch out for both cars and people. Recently two guys received tickets for drag racing their golf carts!!
I guess it takes all kinds but I can't stand to not be as good as I can be at whatever I'm doing.
For some of you young guys that think it might be boring to live in an active adult community but remember you'll be here some day. One of the first jobs in the morning for the golf course rangers, especially in the summer, is to drive the course and pick up any condums that were left from the night before!!
